Welcome to Boss Ireland’s second weekend

We had our first outing at Kirkistown for our championship on Saturday 30th May with two great races. This was the first meeting with all our cars carrying the “b m c g group” logo on their bodywork. This is of course our main sponsor for the year who is a providing much appreciated prize funds for our races.

We had fourteen cars entered and they gave some brilliant racing in both the races with Paul Dagg in his Formula 3 Dellara winning both races.

It was great to see Mark Crawford, Eamon Matheson, Darragh Daly and new comer Barry Rabbitt joining the Boss Ireland crews. We also had John Stewart in his GEM Yamaha and Brendan O’Brien in his Leastone. Unfortunately neither John Stewart, Brendan O’Brien or Mark Crawford made the start of either races, having had problems in practice.

Our next race is in Mondello Pk. on 11th July.

This will be a non-championship race, with a prize fund and trophy being raced for.

Welcome to Boss Ireland’s first weekend

We had a great start to our championship on Sunday 19th April with two great races. We had eleven cars entered and they gave some brilliant racing in both the races with Paul Dagg in his Formula 3 Dellara winning both races.

There was some very close wheel to wheel racing in both races with some slight contact on the main straight. Unfortunately Cian Carey had not registered for the championship before race 1 and therefore could not be included in the results.

Colm Hynes had a brilliant race but was moved back 4 places in the result as a result of Yellow flag/ Safety car infringements.

Our next race is in Kirkistown on 30th May

BOSS Ireland Championship 2015 New Season

We are fast approaching the start of our season on 19th April and I hope everyone is getting all their bits and pieces in order for the opening rounds of the championship.

This year we will have five weekends, four for the championship and one non-championship.

Each weekend will host two rounds of the championship, with two in Mondello Pk. and two in Kirkistown.

Our non-championship round will be at the Formula Vee festival and will be a “Trophy” race, run over two heats with the combined times deciding on the winner.

Things are looking up for the coming season with three new additions to the Boss Ireland drivers. I am reliable informed that Noel Roddy will be out in a Formula Renault, Dan McCarthy in a Leastone and Matt Dunne in a F.F. 2000 (I think).

I hope all last year’s competitors will turn up and it will make some great racing.
